Bozshakol Copper Mine

As a subcontractor for modifications to the clay processing plant and 11 km tailing pipeline, RB&G performed civil site services for the largest single mine in the former Soviet Union. Work involved civil, earthwork, and excavation design, including a realignment to avoid conflicts with the existing power line. The design included an analysis of the potential for the tailings to freeze in the pipeline at temperatures of -45°C. The clay processing plant is expected to process 5 million tons of clay ore annually.
