Forest Service Dams
The U.S. Forest Service teamed with RB&G Engineering in 2018 to the present to complete condition assessments, hazard classification and inundation studies, emergency action plans, breach recommendations, designs, design reviews, and other engineering services associated with 29 Forest Service owned dams located throughout the states of Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Nevada. The dams being evaluated have heights between 10 and 35 feet. Projects worked on include the design of a new toe drain for the Pine Valley Dam (Washington County, Utah), a detailed Safety Evaluation of Tony Grove Lake Dam (Cache County, Utah), and design review for the Middle Piney Dam Reconstruction (Sublette County, Wyoming).
