Jackson Flat Reservoir
RB&G performed geotechnical and dam design for the Jackson Flat Reservoir Project. The reservoir is an off-stream site south of Kanab, Utah. Water is delivered to the reservoir via irrigation pipeline. The dam has a maximum height of 45 feet and stores about 3800 acre-feet of water. The design includes a multi-zoned earthen dam with an internal filter and drain system.
RB&G provided a full-time, on-site resident engineer during dam construction (2010-2011) Responsibilities included oversight of cutoff trench excavation, dewatering bedrock and overburden foundation materials, foundation treatment, earthfill embankment, outlet pipe and appurtenant structures.
