Bangerter Highway

With continual population growth in the Salt Lake area, Bangerter highway was redesigned to meet the increasing transportation demands on the west side of the county. Freeway-style interchanges were planned for the highway to allow for future expansion in that area. RB&G provided geotechnical services and lab testing for the structures, embankment, and pavement for the design-build project. Some of the work involved identifying geotechnical risks and establishing priorities to further investigations and analyses. As geotechnical consultant, RB&G engineers prepared preliminary subsurface investigations, assisted with the design-build procurement, and provided geotechnical oversight during design and construction.
