Jordan and Salt Lake Canal Flume

Repairs of bank erosion and stream migration were completed for Phase 1, including gabion basket wall and riprap to protect stream banks and shift thalweg. The repair is located on a bend in the stream and protects a steep slope. Phase 2 of the project is to include preparation of construction drawings and documents and is pending budget approvals.

Services: field survey and a hydraulic analysis of the canal, preparation and evaluation of design alternatives, geotechnical evaluation and analysis of potential embankment stabilization for the canal, structural evaluation of the existing concrete flume, cost estimating and recommendations for final design.
