Salt Lake County, NRCS Channel Repair

Bank erosion and stream migration along the Little Cottonwood Creek was repaired, including gabion basket wall and riprap to protect stream banks and shift thalweg. One site repair was located on a bend in the stream and protects a steep slope. Stream channel improvements and environmental repairs also included multiple sites in Salt Lake County areas of Big Cottonwood, Mill Creek, and Upper Emigration Creek for the $2 million stream restoration and bank stabilization project.

Services: hydraulic analysis, ROW/easement verification, utility coordination, geotechnical design, coordination with adjacent property owners, construction inspection, project documentation, project accounting, and preparation of PS&E (plans, specifications and estimates).
