Reconstruction of 8.5 miles of roadway from Mona to the Juab/Utah County line was completed for the project in central Utah. RB&G Engineering provided survey, environmental documents, permits, utility coordination, railroad coordination, geotechnical and pavement design, complete drainage and roadway design, including construction documents for roadway widening with intersections and a railroad crossing. An evaluation of pavement distress was performed to identify areas for full reconstruction versus pavement rehabilitation. To maximize the benefit of allocated funding, the project provided pavement design alternatives which included FDR (Full Depth Reclamation), Flexible (asphalt–full reconstruction), and Mill and Overlay.
